CME Programme 2010 – Banaras Hindu University – Institute of Medical Sciences
Introduction: The Department of Kayachikitsa, Faculty of Ayurveda, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University is going to organize Three days CME (Continuing Medical Education) Programme in AYUSH Systems [Module No. 1], which is sponsored by Dept. of AYUSH, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India & being coordinated by Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth, New Delhi.
Objectives: To upgrade knowledge of trainees both Academic and Clinical with recent advances in field of Ayurveda / Medical sciences. To learn from the experiences of colleague practitioners and experts. To learn the art and science of Clinical understanding and therapeutics. To orient the medical physicians to National Health Programmes including AYUSH campaigns, and activities included under NRHM. To improve their Clinical approach by learning latest investigational techniques; evidence and research based new disease management drug/non-drug approaches. To visit best practicing Ayurvedic centres /Institutions to emulate and provide better services to the needy and in research. To disseminate the knowledge of legislative matter both central and state Government on Health polices and other rules, regulations, legal provisions applicable on Ayurvedic practice.
Eligibility: Category 1:U.G Degree holder in Ayurveda working as a Medical officer in any central and state Government Ayurvedic Dispensary or Hospital. Category 2: U.G Degree holder in Ayurveda and practicing Ayurvedic medicine privetely.

Submission Procedure: ” The application form can be downloaded from the website of Institute www.imsbhu.nic.in under the link “Conferences”. “Duly filled application forms should reach the coordinator on or before 30th November 2009. Application received after due date shall be rejected. The applicant should clearly superscribe “Application for CME (Continuing Medical Education) Programme in AYUSH Systems [Module No. 1],” on the envelope while sending the application form. “The application should be forwarded through the Director / Asst. Director / controlling authority failing which, the application will be rejected. However the candidates may send their application through E Mail to the coordinator (knarasimhamurthy@rediffmail.com) as an advance copy but their candidature will be considered after receiving the properly filled application and forwarded by the Director / Asst. Director / controlling authority.
Selection Procedure: A Medical officer in category 1 shall be preferred than category 2. A Medical officer who does not undergo CME (Continuing Medical Education) Programme in AYUSH Systems [Module No. 1] shall be preferred. The selection will be on “first come first serve” basis along with the above two criteria. Candidates belongs to the states other than the neighboring states of UP shall be selected subject to the availability of funds under the head TA.
