Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination 2011 at U.P. Unaided Medical Colleges Welfare Association in Bareilly
Introduction : UPUMCWA is conducting UPPGMET-2011 for admission in M.D./M.S./ Post Graduate Diploma course from the academic session starting in 2011for and on behalf of member colleges in compliance with order of Hon’ble Allahabad High Court Lucknow Bench vide Writ Petition No. 4265(MB) 2006 and writ petition No. 276(MB)2007. Admission will be done as per the merit list prepared in the manner mentioned in this brochure on the basis of marks secured in the above UPPGMET-2011.
Eligibility : The candidate must have completed M.B.B.S. course from an institute duly recognized by Medical Council of India. The Internship of the candidate must be completed before April 01, 2011. The candidate must have his/her registration with State Medical Council / Medical Council of India. For NRI / Foreign candidates, the above mentioned criteria must be approved by the Medical Council of India.
Reservation : Reservation shall be applicable as notified by the Govt. and enforced at the time of Counselling. For this purpose OBC Caste Category shall be determined on the basis of list published by UPGovt.
Important Instructions : This brochure can be downloaded from the The application form of UPPGMET-2011 can either be filled online or downloaded from the website www.upumcwa.org. Affix the recent passport size photograph at the designated place in the filled in form and put the signatures in Hindi and English. Send the aforesaid form by Speed Post along with a DD of ` 1000/- in favour of UPUMCWA payable at Bareilly to the Coordinator UPPGMET-2011, Ist Floor, Anand Ashram Complex, Rampur Garden, Bareilly so as to reach latest by March 25, 2011. Please attach the Xerox copies of the documents (as mentioned on page no.5 of this brochure) with the filled in application form. UPUMCWA will not be responsible for any delay in receiving of completed application form along with all enclosures either on the part of post office or for any other reason.
The application form after scrutiny shall be processed and applicant will be provided the facility to download his/her admit card along with roll no. from the website: www.upumcwa.org. The admit card will allow one to appear in the entrance test. Appropriate information regarding centres shall be mentioned on the admit card. If any document/declaration submitted by the candidate is found to be false at any stage his/her candidature will be cancelled and he/she may be liable for prosecutions under law. In case of any legal dispute the jurisdiction will be limited to Bareilly Courts only. The candidates are also instructed to note the Application Form No. (in case the form is filled & submitted online) and to keep photocopy of submitted application form along with proof of having submitted the application form for any future reference. Incomplete Application Forms will be rejected.

General Information :
UPPGMET-2011 will be organised for admission in MD/MS/ Post Graduate Diploma lCourses for Academic Session 2011-12 in member colleges. The entrance examination will be held on March 28, 2011, Monday from 3:00 pm to l6:00 pm. There will be a total no. of 250 objective type multiple choice questions as per the lguideline of syllabus given in the appendix of this brochure. The UPPGMET-2011 will consists of a maximum of 500 marks. Minimum cut-off pass percentage of marks in UPPGMET-2011 shall be 50% (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC) and merit shall be determined on the basis of marks lsecured in UPPGMET-2011. There will be negative marks of 1/4 for each wrong answer. More than one answer marked in OMR answer sheet will also be considered as wrong lanswer. Only Black Ball Point Pen shall be used for answering on OMR answer sheet as per direction given in the OMR Sheet.
Application Procedure : The candidates should fill-in the application form neatly and legibly and submit with the following enclosures:-
1 – Xerox Copy of Mark Sheet of M.B.B.S. Final & Pre-Final Prof duly attested by gazetted officer/principal of institution.
2 – Xerox Copy of the Internship Completion Certificate duly attested by gazetted officer/principal of institution.
3 – Xerox Copy of Mark Sheet of 10+2 duly attested by gazetted officer/principal of institution.
4 – Xerox Copy of 10th Standard certificate duly attested by gazetted officer/principal of institution as a proof of age.
5-Â Photocopy of Caste Certificate for SC & ST issued by competent authority.
6 – Photocopy of Caste Certificate for OBC issued by competent authority. It must have been issued after 31st January 2011.
7 – Four Copies of the recent passport size coloured photographs.
