Admission for MCA Program – 2008 24 and 25 May 2008
Applications are invited for admission to the full-time MCA program 2008-2011, at Mesra and our Extension Centres at Allahabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lalpur and Noida. Please see website for detailed notification and addresses of Centres.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must hold a recognized Bachelor’s degree (minimum 10+2+3), in any of following:
* BCA
* B.Sc in Comp Sc / Inf Tech / Electronics
* B.Sc / B.A with Maths / Stats at graduate level.
1.Candidates of B.Sc / B.A Honours must have minimum 60% (50% for SC / ST) marks in average in Honours subject. Other candidates must have minimum 60% (50% for SC /ST) marks in average in graduation, computed as average of marks in ALL subjects in which appeared (excluding optional subjects).


2.Candidates must have passed in ALL subjects in which appeared in Class 10 (excluding optional subjects) with minimum 60% (50% for SC / ST) marks in average, computed as average of marks in ALL subjects in which appeared (excluding optional subjects). Candidates must have passed in ALL subjects in which appeared in Class 12 (excluding optional subjects) with minimum 60% (50% for SC / ST) marks in average, computed as average of best 5 subjects in which appeared (excluding optional subjects).
3.Candidates graduating in 2008 can apply, provided they can submit marksheets by 31 October 2008. Candidates with qualifications acquired through correspondence or distance-learning programs are eligible only if they acquired such qualifications as working professionals / while in employment.

BIT Mesra Selection Procedure:
Online Entrance Test on 24 and 25 May 2008 at Allahabad, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Noida and Ranchi. Counselling in second week of June 2008. Provisional selections will be based on performance in the Test of candidates who have applied and fulfill the eligibility criteria, due consideration being given to choice(s) of Place for Study made in application form. All further notifications only on our website. No separate intimations will be sent to candidates.

How to Apply :
MCA Entrance Exam 2008:
The MCA 2008 Application Material and Information Brochure 2008 can be obtained from all our Centres at the addresses given on our website.
(a) In person from 19 March 2008 to 28. April 2008 on payment of Rs.1,200/- and
(b) By post on payment of Rs.1,300/-, (All payments by crossed DD in favour of Birla Institute of Technology, payable at Ranchi). Postal requests must be received by 22 April 2008, and must include covering letter & two slips of paper (10×10 cm) with name, address in capitals and phone number. To apply for the programme, eligible candidates may either.
(a) Fill the printed form, supplied with MCA 2008 Application Material, and send with enclosures (photographs, photocopies of certificates), to reach office of Dean Admissions, Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi 835215, by 5 May 2008, OR,
(b) Fill in the online application form on our website, and send the printout with 2 photographs, crossed DD for Rs.1,200/- as above and photocopies of certificates by 5 May 2008, at the same address.
