Coast Guard Naviks Examination 2009
Introduction:
Coast Guard Naviks Examination is the examination conducted for recruitment of Naviks in the General Duty and Domestic Branch of Indian Coast Guard. Institute conducts this examination for selecting the Indian candidate Coast Guard Armed Force of the Nation. This exam is conducted twice in a year, once in month of March/ April for the course commencing from July and another in month of November/ December for the course commencing in the month of January.
Eligibility:
Candidate must be Indian.
Candidate must be between 17 – 22 years of age.
5 years of age relaxation is given to the SC/ST candidates.
For General Duty (GD) Branch: Candidate must be graduated to be eligible for this course.
For Domestic Branch (DB): Candidate must have passed 8th class for admission into this course.
Physical Requirements:
Height: Minimum 157 cm
Chest: Should be well proportioned with minimum expansion of 5 cm.
Weight: Proportionate to height and age (+10 per cent acceptable).
Eye Sight:
For General Duty 6/6 (Good eye) and 6/9 (Bad eye).
Domestic Branch 6/18 (Good eye) and 6/36 (Bad eye).
NOTE: Candidates using glasses are not eligible for GD Branch.
Selection Criteria:
Short listing of candidates will be done on the basis of above mentioned eligibility criteria.
Short listed candidates have to appear in selection test interview.
Date and place of Interview will be intimated to candidates through call-up letters.
Final selection will be done on the basis of marks obtained in Written Examination and Interview.
Selected candidates have to go for a medical test conducted by the Boards.
