IGNOU has recently launched the Covergence Scheme which provides a glolden opportunity to the regular students enroled in conventional colleges and universiteis to simultaneously pursue a Degree/ Diploma/ Certificate offered by IGNOU thorugh distance mode.

Young and old, employed/ enemployed, housewives, studetns - all can now enroll in IGNOU’s programmes through top-accredited premier institutions all over India.

Salient Features of the Scheme are:
Conventioanl instituions can ofer ODL Programmes using the latest technology to enhance flexible and blended learning
Regular learners enrolled in Universities and Colleges can simultaneously enrroll in Certificates/ Diplomas/ Degrees of IGNOUS through distance mode as value addition and job orientation
Synergy of ODL and Conventional Systems through maximum level utilization of exisitn gphysical, intellectual and knowledge resources available in regular colleges/ universities.
The target s to achieve growth in Gross Enrolment Ratio from 10% to 15% during the next five years
