Announces Admission To Full Time Ph.D Program in Finance & Economics Degree Awarded By University Of Madras)

IFMR is a leading business school with strengths in both research and teaching focusing on the financial sector.

IFMR was founded in 1970 as an autonomous institute with backing from ICICI, the House of Kotharis and other major corporates.

IFMR has established Centres for Advanced Finance, Micro Finance, Small Enterprise Finance, Development Finance and Insurance & Risk Management to conduct cutting edge research and training in these areas.

Recognized as a Social Science Institute by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India, IFMR has also been approved as an Institution of National Importance by the Ministry of Finance.

IFMR currently offers a 2-year full-time and 3-year part-time Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management with specializations in Finance, Marketing, HR and Operations & IT, 2 year full time programme in Financial Engineering, 2 year full time programme in Development and Sustainable Finance.

Also offered, are short term executive development programs and consulting services. IFMR has been granted affiliation by the University of Madras for students pursuing a PhD in Finance and Economics.

Program Highlights: Selected candidates will undergo course work during the first two years of the program and only successful candidates will be allowed to continue.

They will also assist the faculty in research and teaching.

Eligibility: Post Graduates in any discipline, CA, ICWIA or ACS are eligible to apply. Candidates should have obtained first class throughout. The program demands a good knowledge of quantitative and computing skills. People with good analytical and programming skills will be a good fit.

Selection Shortlisted candidates will be required to appear for a selection test and interview to candidates.

Financial Support Merit based attractive monthly stipend starting from Rs-20000 will be paid to the selected candidates.
