Introduction: The second Bharatiya Vigyan Sammelan  2009 is dedicated to the great biologist, Prof (Dr.) J. C. Bose, to mark his 150th birth anniversary. Dr Bose was a staunch believer in Indian philosophy which enlightens the human race for finest path of living, passed through love and harmony with nature. He believed that ancient Bharatiya knowledge based on scientific principles provides the solutions for all walks of life without harming the environment. The ‘use as per need, not with greed’ principle is amalgamated in living culture of our society from old ages and now moderated by Western world as conservation.

Theme: The focal theme of the conference is  Green Technologies for Sustainable Development.

Scope: The scope of the Bharatiya Vigyan Sammelan (BVS) covers invited talk and contributory research paper (oral as well as poster presentations) in any of the official languages of India. Abstracts in Hindi/English would be compulsory for necessary co-ordinations.
Venue: The venue of the conference shall be University Auditorium and other halls in Institute of Computer Science, D.A.V.V, Khandwa Road, Indore. The exhibition shall be organized in D.A.V.V. Campus Ground adjacent to the University Auditorium. Both these venues are near to each other and in the hearts of Indore.

Awards: In addition to regular research paper, separate research papers may also be submitted for consideration for awards in the Bharatiya Vigyan Sammelan in the following categories.
Young Scientist: Single author paper and author must be under 35 years of age as on 1st December 2009.

Best Innovation Award: This award is open to any farmer, artisan, social worker, student and others in the field of rural innovation.

Women Scientist Awards: Award for best paper for women scientist is open to any women scientist for a innovative work carried out by her in India.

Call For Papers: Scientists, technologists, research scholars, policy makers and stake-holders in S&T are invited to send two page Extended Abstracts (in Hindi/English) of their papers (A-4, single space, 12 point; English- Times New Roman, Hindi- Krutidev), in any other languages with translation either in Hindi on in English. The Abstracts should include the name of author(s) with organizational affiliations, e-mail address of the presenting author and phone number for contact. The author of the selected papers shall be informed the acceptance of their papers by 1st November for submission of full text of the paper as per the scheduled given below. The Abstracts should be accomplished with Registration form for attending the conference. The Abstracts may also sent as MS-Word files bvsindore@gmail.com as well as hard copies to Secretary General, Bharatiya Vigyan Sammelan, School of Energy and Environmental Studies (SEES), D.A.V.V., Khandwa Road, Indore, M.P., India  452 001. Selected papers by reviewers may be invited to submit full text papers including results, tables, figures and references. Extended full text papers (.doc, .rft, .ps, .pdf) will also be accepted by electronic submission.
