iDiya – A National Social Ideas Challenge 2010 at Indian School of Business
Introduction : From the first fire that illuminated the lives of mankind to the astounding power of the internet, it all began with an idea. Ideas are the pillars on which great societies, great nations and a great world are built. The power of ideas can be transformed into the power of a revolution which has a far-reaching and meaningful impact on the lives of many around us. Amul, Grameen Bank, Aravind Eye Hospital and SKS Microfinance are just a few of those ideas which became the catalysts of social revolutions. Your idea can bring about a social revolution too. ISB brings you ‘The 2nd ISB iDiya Challenge’ as a platform to showcase, nurture and facilitate commercialisation of ideas with deep rooted social benefits.
Eligibility : People who have the passion for creating social change through a sustainable business enterprise are encouraged to apply to the ISB iDiya Challenge. The challenge is aimed at working professionals in India. Teams of 2 to 4 individuals can participate. No team member must be currently enrolled in an educational institution pursuing a full-time programme.
Selection Criteria : The proposed business plans will be evaluated on the following parameters:
Measurable quantitative and qualitative social impact.
Ease of implementation and economic feasibility of the idea.
Scalability and sustainability.
Why Participate : Apart from giving you a platform to showcase your idea, participating in the ISB iDiya Challenge will also help you identify possible avenues for ensuring your vision takes shape. Other benefits of participating include:
A one-week all expenses paid BootCamp for the top six teams where you will meet industry leaders, venture capitalists and business mentors.
Top six teams will receive mentoring support after the competition. The mentoring board comprises of high-profile businessmen and organisations who will help you commercialise your idea.

Runners-up – Rs. 50,000
2nd Runners-up – Rs. 20,000
4th,5th,6th – Rs. 10,000 each
