Admission to Master of Business Administration (MBA)
Introduction:
Justice K S Hegde Institute of Management was established by the Nitte Education Trust on July 4, 1998. Named after the visionary and founder, late Justice K S Hegde, the Institute offers a two-year full time MBA program recognised by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and the Government of Karnataka and is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. The Institute is also recognised as a centre for guiding research. It is one among the very few AICTE-NBA accredited institutes and is certified to ISO 9001:2000 standards by KEMA, Netherlands. Justice K S Hegde Institute of Management has been ranked as an “A” level business school as per the Business India survey of 2006. The Institute has been recognised among the premier B-schools in Karnataka based on its performance in the field of academics, consultancy and research activity.
Eligibility:
Graduates in Agriculture, Arts, Commerce, Engineering, Management, Law, Science or other disciplines coming under the 10+2+3 scheme with a minimum of 50% marks (aggregate of three years including languages) in the qualifying examination are eligible. Those appearing for final degree examinations can also apply.
Application Form:
The prospectus and the application form(http://jkshim.ac.in/images/form.pdf) of the Institute can be obtained in person on payment of Rs. 500/- in cash or through a DD drawn in favour of JKSHIM, payable at Nitte. The application form should be duly filled and submitted to the Institute office by the last week of April of that year. Based on the MAT, CAT, XAT, ATMA examination scores, short listed candidates are called for a group discussion and interview at various centres including Mangalore, Bangalore, Mumbai, Kozhikode and Nitte.
