Bachelor of Dental Surgery Admission 2010 – LENORA Institute of Dental Sciences (LIDS) – Andhra Pradesh
Introduction : The Bachelor of Dental Surgery prepares students for patient-oriented dental practice and emphasizes prevention and early detection of dental disease Students develop a spirit of inquiry that leads them to seek better ways to promote and preserve oral and general health. The primary goal of our institution is to educate dentists who are well grounded in the basic medical sciences, skilled in the exercise of clinical care, and, above all, sensitive to the needs of their patients. To this end, the curriculum combines course work, and a series of planned, practical learning experiences in dental clinics of our college and medical hospitals outside the dental institution.
Eligibility : 10 + 2 (or Equivalent exam). Must have passed individualy in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with a minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology together (40% for S.T. / S.C. / O.B.C. candidates). The Student shall have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year in which he/ she seeks admission.

Intake : 60 Seats
Attendance Requirement :
A : In theory 75% and 80% in Practical/ clinicals in each subject in each year.
B : In case of subject in which the instructional programme extends through more than one academic year and hence there is no University examination in the subject (i.e. non-exam going subjects), the attendance requirement shall not be less than 70% in Lectures and Practical/ Clinical. However, at the time of appearing for the professional examination in the subject the candidate should satisfy the condition (a) above.
C : The failed candidates shall put up a minimum of 75% attendance in the subjects of failure.
