National Legal Research Paper Competition 2009-10 – Maharashtra
About ILS: The Indian Law Society was established in 1923 as a Public Charitable Trust registered under the Societies Registration Act. The Indian Law Society established the Law College in 1924, which has since then established itself as a premier institute for legal studies in India. In 2004, the ILSÂ Law College was accredited the A+ level by NAAC.
Introduction: ILS Law College Annual National Legal Research Paper Competition 2009-10 is being organized in the memory of Mrs. Sushila Sharma. The Competition seeks to help the students of law to develop their research abilities and improve their writing skills. This year, the student can choose any of the four topics:
- Feminism and Federalism.
- Domicile as a basis for Quota in Educational Institutions: Constitutional Issues.
- Constitutional Status of Political Parties.
- The Constitution in the Light of Coalition Government.
Eligibility: Any 3 year or 5 year LL.B. student.
Registration Fee: A Registration fee of Rs. 100 is required for participation. Paper should not be of less than 6,000 words or more than 8,000 words. Two prizes of Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 8,000 respectively are to be distributed. Consolation prizes may be awarded. All participating students will be issued a certificate of participation.
