NOTIFICATION
A Few vacancies exist in M.Tech Courses in VTU Extension centers and Regional centers at places as indicated below. Eligible candidates can appear for seat selection on 11-09-2008 at 10 am at VTU “Jnana Sangama” campus, Belgaum with all original marks cards of their qualifying examination. Candidates who have not appeared for PGCET or do not have a valid GATE score can also apply.

Note:
1) *Academic eligibility for admission to Full Time M.Tech. Programmes: Course shall be open for candidates who have passed the prescribed qualifying Examinations mentioned above with not less that 50% of the marks in the aggregate of all the semesters / years of the degree examination (cumulative sum of secured marks of all the semesters / years divided by the sum of the maximum marks). **However, in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST and Cat-I, marks shall not be less than 45%.

2) *Eligibility for Part Time M.Tech. Programme: In addition to the qualification prescribed above, the candidates must have worked for not less than three years (after qualifying examination and experience is considered up to the date of notification) in an establishment and must be working in an organisation situated within a radial distance of 40 km from the institution in which the candidate seeks admission.

3) Application fee of Rs. 600/- for General Merit and other category candidates, Rs. 300/-** for SC/ST/Cat-I candidates should be submitted to the Registrar, VTU, Belgaum in the form of D.D. drawn in favour of “Finance Officer, VTU, Belgaum” payable at Belgaum.

4) Tuition Fee for Full Time M.Tech. Programme – Rs. 60,000/- per annum,
Part Time M.Tech. Programme – Rs. 40,000/- per annum
