Global Wordnet Conference 2010, Mumbai
Introduction: The Global Wordnet Association is pleased to announce The 5th International Conference of the Global WordNet Association (GWC-2010). It is also the 10th anniversary of the Global WordNet Association. The GWC-2010 will be held in Mumbai, India between 31st Jan. – 4th Feb., 2010. Wordnet is a large lexical database of (any) language. Nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs are grouped into sets of cognitive synonyms (synsets), each expressing a distinct concept. Synsets are interlinked by means of conceptual-semantic and lexical relations. The resulting network of meaningfully related words and concepts can be navigated with the browser. Most of the Wordnets are also freely and publicly available for downloads. Wordnet’s structure makes it a useful tool for computational linguistics and natural language processing.
