WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN?
The Indian Power Sector is growing very fast. According to the Report of the Sub Group on Manpower Planning, expected manpower requirement in the Power Sector during Xth Plan would be aroung 2.30 lakhs. Further, the amendment in the Indian Electricity Rules 1956, 2B have paved the way for Private Power Sector participation in Operation and maintenance of Electrical Power Transmission and Distribution System. This course is of 26 weeks duration for those who desire to made a career in the power Sector.
On Successful completion of this course the Graduate Engineers will find good job opportunities and preference in employment with various power companies.
The aim of the course is to develop a pool of technically trained manpower radily available for recruitment to the Indian Power Sector in the area of Operation and Maintenance of Electrical Power Transmission and Distribution System.
ABOUT THE COURSE:
This is a unique coure of 26 weeks duration being conducted in the country by NPTI only. The course covers training on Operation and Maintenance of Poer Transmission & Distribution System. The course syllabus is Approved by Central Electricity Authority (CFA), Government of INIDA under Indian electricity rules 1956 (2B) rule 3.
ELIGIBILITY: Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical), (B.E. Electrical).
AGE: Maximum 27 years, as on 01-10-2008
SELECTION CRITERIA: Percentage of marks obtained in B.E. or equivalent examination. (Preferably first class in X, XII & BE)
Total Seats: 50 (Fifty). Researvation for SC/ST as per Govt. norms. 25% seats reserved for sponsored candidates. In case of non-availability of sponsored candidates, seats will be available for non-sponsored candidates, seats will be available for non-sponsored candidates.
PLACEMENT:
NPTI maintains close linkages with power utilities for employment of these trained engineers.
NPTI trained engineers of this course have been placed thorugh campus placement in companies, Viz, NDPL, KPTL, REL, Torrent Power Ltd., Jyoti Structure Ltd., Tata Poer Ltd., Black & Veatch, AREVAT & Detc.

Applications on plain paper along with the demand draft of Rs.300/- in favour of NPTI payable at Nagpur, should reach The Principal Director, (address given below) latest by 22-09-2008 with one passport size photograph and one 5″x10″ self addressed envelope in the following format:

Fees:
1) Rs.75000/- (in two installments) for non sponsored candidates
2) Rs.100000/- (for sponsored candidates) in one installments
