Introduction:

Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research Medical Entrance Exam (PGIMER) is conducted by PGIMER. 

Courses:

Post-Doctoral (DM/M.Ch)

Postgraduate MD/MS

Eligibility:

1. MBBS passed from a University/ Institute recognized by Medical Council of India with not more than one attempt made during MBBS course.

2. Must have either completed or due to complete one year internship.

3. Since this institute provide different courses so there is some difference in the eligibility criteria of the courses:

For all DM courses except for DM (Clinical Pharmacology) Course:

Eligibility:

MD degree in Medicine or Pediatrics recognized by the Medical Council of India.

Must be registered with the Central/ State Medical Registration Council.

For DM (Clinical Pharmacology) Course:

Eligibility:

M.D. degree in Pharmacology recognized by the Medical Council of India.

For M.Ch. Courses:

Eligibility:

MS degree in General Surgery recognized by Medical Council of India.

For M.Ch. (Plastic Surgery) Course:

Eligibility:

MS degree in General Surgery / M.S. (ENT) / M.S. (Ortho.) recognized by Medical Council of India.

Must be registered with the Central / State Medical/Registration Council.

Examination Details:

1. Candidate have to appear for an entrance test comprising of 100 marks which consist 250 multiple choice questions each with 5 alternative answers.

2. Negative marks will be given on each wrong answer marked.

3. Duration of exam will be 3 hours.
