STHAPATYA 2009,TECHNICAL SYMPOSIUM,CIVIL ENGG DEPARTMENT, JNTU,HYDERABAD
STHAPATYA is a National Level Technical Symposium which is either a 2 or 3 day festival which is aimed to engage and stimulate an interest in the relationship between science and technology (contemporary arts). This technical rendezvous offers the students an insight into diverse fields in civil engineering field and encourages them to unveil their inherent aptitude & appetite for practical problems. The interaction that prevails between the students of various colleges at the fest is a unique characteristic which helps them to develop their technical skills.
Technical Quiz
Enthusiastic about quizzes and other brain-teasers? Come test your knowledge! A prelim in the form of a written test will be held initially. Based on this, the final teams will be selected for the main Quiz.
Treasure hunt
In teams, find your way around the campus by deciphering the given clues. Treasure hunt is a survey based puzzle that the entire team must solve. Have fun trying to find the solutions to this technical treasure hunt. Enjoy testing your treasure hunting and team building skills.
Innovative Design
The event innovative design is to bring out the Spirit of innovation and creative talents and the students are supposed to present their dream designs
Modelling : Any type of model given on that day
Example:- A tower is to be built.
Specification: Minimum height of 30cm, Base area of 15 cm x 15 cm
Material to be used : Broomsticks of thickness 2-3 mm, cotton thread, glue cardboard for base.
Criteria: maximum height, minimum weight, aesthetic value, stability and technical aspects. The model is to be made prior to the delegate’s arrival and is to be brought here. The prepared models will be evaluated and awarded over here duely.
