The Uttaranchal Council of Entrance Examination, an association formed by the Private Unaided Medical, Dental, Ayurvedic and Homoeopathic Colleges of Uttaranchal, would be conducting the Common Pre Medical Entrance Examination for admission to MBBS/ BDS/ BAMS/BHMS courses for the year 2007-08 as per details given below.

*Admission to BDS/BAMS courses are subject to the permission obtained by the concerned colleges from their respective Council and the Govt. of India.

Examination Date: May 26, 2007 (Saturday) from 10.00 AM to 12.30 PM.

Test Centers: Chandigarh, Dehradun, Delhi, Jaipur, Kanpur, Ludhiana, Varanasi (The centers can be changed if there are not enough candidates in that center.)

Eligibility

Age: Not less than 17 years as on 31st December, 2007. (Candidates born after 31st December 1990 need not apply)

Qualification:

MBBS/BDS: The candidate must have pass the 10+2 i.e. ISC/Intermediate Examination or its equivalent, after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study comprising Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from a recognized Board/University and must have passed in all the above subjects. The candidate must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the qualifying examination. In respects candidate belonging to SC/ST/OBCs the marks obtaind in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together must be 40% in lieu of 50% for general category.

BAMS and BHMS: The candidate must have pass the 10+2 i.e. ISC/Intermediate Examination or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology are eligible.

The candidates who are appearing for the qualifying examination (XII) and result is not yet available are also eligible to appear for the examination but such candidates shall submit the mark sheet of the qualifying examination on and before the date specified in the information brochure.
