I) TWO- YEAR FULL-TIME PROGRAMME FOR
POST-GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN MANAGEMENT, 2009-2011

FULL-TIME PGDM

Eligibility: Minimum 3 year Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in any discipline. Final year degree students, completing heir final examinations by June 15, 2009 may also apply.

ADMISSION TEST (XAT):
All applicants will have to apear for the Admission Test to be conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur, on 4th January 2009.

For this, applicants have to log on to www.xlri.edu and apply online for XAT, before separetely applying to XIMB.

II) TWO-YEAR FULL-TIME PROGRAMME FOR
POST-GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN RURAL MANAGEMENT, 2009-2011
FULL-TIME PGDRM

Eligibility: Minimum 3-year Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in any discipline. Fina year degree students, completing their final examination by June 15, 2009, may also apply.

ADMISSION TEST (IRMA OR XAT)
Applicants will have to appear for one of the following Admission Tests.
a) The Test to be conducted by Institute of Rural Management, Anand, on 9th November 2008 or
b) XAT to be conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur on 4th January 2009. Apply for one of the tests before separately applying to XIMB.

Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)

The minimum requirement for admission to the Programme is: A three-year Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in any discipline from a recognized University. Candidates who expect to complete the final part of their degree examinations by June 15, 2009, may also apply. Offers of admission to such candidates, if made, will be provisional and will be automatically cancelled in the event of their failing to complete all the requirements for obtaining the degree before June 15.

Admission Test

Applicants are required to take the Admission Test (XAT) to be conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur, on 4th January, 2009. For this, applicants have to log on to www.xlri.edu and apply online for XAT. Registering for XAT is a prerequisite for applying to XIMB.

XIMB Application

Applicants have to also apply (online) separately for XIMB programme at: www.ximb.ac.in Upon successfully filling the online application form the payment advice form can be downloaded. The applicant must take a printout of the same payment advice form and mail it to the Admissions Office, Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar-751013, accompanied by the application fee (non-refundable) in one of the following ways:

* Original Bank remittance slip, after depositing Rs.1000/- (in cash) at any State Bank of India core branch in the Current A/c No. 30463061882 of Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar; OR

* Original Bank remittance slip, after depositing Rs.1000/- (in cash) at any branch of AXIS Bank into the S/B Account No. 024010100084039 of Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar; OR

* A Demand Draft for Rs.1000/- made out in favour of Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar.

On receipt of the DD or Bank remittance slip/counterfoil for the required amount and the payment advice form, the Bulletin 2009 will be mailed to the applicant. The last date for applying online is December 10, 2008.

It may be noted that besides registering for XAT one has to apply (online) separately to XIM, Bhubaneswar.

Online registration will be accepted subject to receipt of the application fee by XIMB. Upon receipt of the payment the eligible applicants will be intimated by e-mail about the acceptance of their applications.

Selection Process
The institute will decide the section wise as well as total cut-off marks, which will be used for shortlisting candidates to be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview. GD & PI will held at Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai. Candidates will have to meet their own travel expenses for appearing in the GD & PI. The final selection will be on the candidate’s performance in the XAT as well as Group Discussion and Personal Interview(which factors in the past academic record and relevant work experience). The selected candidates will be informed by mail by around first week of April 2009.

The programme will begin by the middle of June 2009 for the first year students. At this time the students will be given a Manual of Policies and Regulations which will be binding on them.

Candidates who expect to complete the final part of their degree examinations by June 15, 2009 may also apply. Three-year part-time programme (PGDM-PT) for Working Executives

Admission procedure for batch (2009-12)

Eligibility
The minimum requirements for admission to the three-year part-time PGDM programme are:

A three-year Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in any discipline from a recognised University.
At least three years of experience in executive capacity in an organisation of repute in the public, private or non-governmental sector. Self-employed persons with minimum five years experience after obtaining qualifying degree can also be considered.
Age limit: Between 24 and 45 years as on 01.07.2009.
Sponsorship or No Objection certificate from the employer for pursuing this course at XIMB.

Application Procedure
Applicants have to apply online for the XIMB programme, by logging on to www.ximb.ac.in (during Sep-Dec). Upon successfully filling the online application form the payment advice form can be downloaded. The applicant must take a printout of the same payment advice and mail it to the Admissions Office, Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar-751013, accompanied by the application fee (non-refundable) in one of the following forms:

Selection Process
The eligible candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview session at Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata or Mumbai. Screening for interview will be based on the candidate’s past academic performance and relevant work experience. Candidates will have to meet their own travel expenses. Selected candidates will be informed by mail before 15th April 2009.

Programme Design
This three-year part-time programme is designed for executives, working anywhere in the country. The curriculum is similar to our two-year full-time PGDM programme. The participants will reside in the campus for 15 days at a time, thrice a year (45 days in a year). In the intervening period, they are expected to complete the assigned readings and projects.

The Programme will begin around the first week of July 2009. At this time the students will be given a Manual of Policies which will be binding on them.
